Your Eminence, beloved Brother in Christ, Archbishop Daniel,

Together with the Council of the Metropolia, the Consistory over which you so ably preside, the faculty and students of St. Sophia Seminary where you serve as Provost and Dean of Academic Affairs, the devoted Consistory and Seminary staff, the Ukrainian Orthodox League of the USA, the St. Andrew Society, the Guardians of the Metropolia, and the entire body of clergy and faithful of our Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, I extend to you our heartfelt greetings on the joyous occasion of your birthday, September 28.

We rejoice with you and in you, Your Eminence, for the blessing that your life and ministry have been to our Church and to the world. The Lord has entrusted to you the weighty responsibility of leadership and the delicate task of administration, and you have fulfilled them with the utmost faith, humility, and energy. In particular, your tireless work in overseeing the nearly four million dollars in humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine during the 3.5 years of genocidal invasion by the Russian Federation has been nothing short of a sacred ministry—an expression of the Gospel lived in action. You have been, for both the faithful and the suffering, a steadfast sign of God’s providence and mercy.

On this day of celebration, we wish to affirm how deeply you are loved and cherished by us all. Your dedication to Christ’s call, your devotion to His people, and your unwavering pastoral presence have inspired countless souls. You embody for us what it means to live one’s vocation fully, without hesitation, answering always with the words of the Prophet: “Here I am, Lord.”

May the Lord, through the intercessions of the Theotokos and all the saints, grant you continued strength, wisdom, and joy in your service to His Holy Church. May your heart be filled with the peace that surpasses understanding, and may your birthday be a foretaste of the eternal joy promised to those who remain faithful to Him.

Pазом із Радою Митрополії, Консисторією, професорсько-студентською спільнотою Свято-Софійської семінарії, де Ви несете служіння Декана з академічних справ, відданими співробітниками Консисторії та Семінарії, Української Православної Ліги США, Товариства святого Андрія, Опікунів Митрополії та всієї повноти духовенства й вірних нашої Української Православної Церкви США, щиро вітаю Вас із радісною нагодою Вашого Дня народження, 28 вересня.

Ми радіємо разом із Вами та через Вас, Владико, за те благословення, яким стало Ваше життя і Ваше служіння для нашої Церкви та для світу. Господь довірив Вам велику відповідальність проводу і нелегке завдання адміністрації, які Ви виконуєте з найвищою вірою, смиренням і невтомною енергією. Особливою сторінкою Вашого служіння є невтомна праця в управлінні майже чотирма мільйонами доларів гуманітарної допомоги Україні впродовж 3,5 років геноцидного вторгнення Російської Федерації. Це стало справжнім святим служінням — Євангелієм, втіленим у діях. Для вірних і для стражденних Ви стали непохитним знаком Божого промислу і милосердя.

У цей день святкування ми хочемо підтвердити, наскільки глибоко всі ми любимо і цінуємо Вас. Ваша відданість покликанню Христовому, ревність до Його народу і Ваше постійне пастирське служіння надихають незліченні душі. Ви для нас є прикладом того, як повністю і без вагань жити своїм покликанням, відповідаючи завжди словами Пророка: «Ось я, Господи».

Нехай Господь, молитвами Пресвятої Богородиці та всіх святих, дарує Вам подальшу силу, мудрість і радість у служінні Його Святій Церкві. Нехай Ваше серце буде сповнене миру, який перевищує всяке розуміння, а цей День народження стане передсмаком вічної радості, обіцяної тим, хто залишається Йому вірним.
